Responsibilities:

• Develop solution sets to provide data network services for Company entities.
  
• Perform as the project interface or lead for all domestic and international data transport services.
  
• Develop data network architectures and strategies giving consideration to existing network infrastructure.
  
• Perform level 3 technical support for telecommunications transport issues.
  
• Develop standards for implementing new technology solutions into the network.
  
• Implement services to ensure successful launches of network solutions.
  
• Evaluate and select transport technology.
  
• Maintain contact with suppliers to gain knowledge about new network services and equipment.
  
• Monitor and specify requirements to ensure compliance of international regulatory network guidelines.
  
• Develop solutions to share communication facilities among different Company entities.
  
• Provide a technical interface for business application groups that require the use of transport services.
  
• Perform financial tracking of transport services expenses to ensure compliance to section budget.
  
• Interface on a regular basis with internal as well as external telecommunications partners for domestic and international services.
  
• Perform consulting services for new or unique data communications requirements.
  
• Develop network upgrade, implementation, and test plans.
  
• Develop network optimization plans.

Meetings outside of normal business hours will be necessary to accommodate multiple time zones and/or implementations.

Experience Required:

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (Including TCP/IP, QoS, LAN's), transport alternatives (Private Line, IP-VPN, WAN Ethernet, ATM, Frame Relay), disaster recovery, fault tolerant design, and international standards.
  
• Outstanding leadership, communications, and facilitation skills.
  
• Proven ability to develop network solutions in a creative and collaborative manner.
  
• Works well within a team of technical and business professionals.
  
• Delivers results under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
  
• Strong project management skills.
  
• Experience with complex enterprise and/or carrier networks.
  
• Equivalent to five or more years of experience in data communications planning and network operations.

Experience Preferred:
Technical certifications in networking are highly desirable (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).

Education Required:
B.S. Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field.

Education Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or IT discipline
Master's degree in technical or business discipline preferred.
