Provide support and in-depth systems analysis for existing mainframe Teradata Management Information Systems applications including the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), which is a Company warehouse used for reporting & metrics across the company and the Management Analysis and Planning System (MAPS). The applications supported are highly integrated with other Company systems and contain numerous internal/external dependencies/interfaces. Position also includes analysis of issues/questions, design/development and launch of production support changes, support and ETL for Europe EDW projects, and participation in testing with Enterprise Release Management (ERM)/projects/other applications. The position may be expanded to include participation with an on-call 24x7 duty analyst support rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Support Management Information Systems utilizing Teradata, COBOL, DB2, & SQL.
- Apply analytical skills to diagnose problems, develop solutions and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with business and systems partners in issue/question identification and resolution.
- Interface with numerous information technology groups, including application and service teams
- Use USDM methodology while coding application changes/enhancements, developing and executing test plans, and participating in technical reviews.
- Participate in ensuring Application Control Review (ACR) updates are made appropriately and timely.
- Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development.
- Participate in Business Continuity testing.
- Work on-site 40 hours/week, Monday -
Friday
- Position may lead into participate in off hours 24x7 duty analyst support on a rotational basis. This includes nights and weekends.
Selected candidate will be a mainframe person with either Teradata or Oracle or DB2 in a large DB environment.
Skills Required:
- Strong mainframe skills including COBOL, MVS, JCL, CA7, TSO/SPF, Xpeditor and FileAid
- Experience in a Teradata, data warehousing environment
- Experience in SQL and extract, transform and load (ETL) programming
- Knowledge and experience with DB2/SQL, FTP, Connect Direct
- Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
